How to delete pages from PDF, step by step

Is a deleted page really gone?
In the new file, yes. The saved PDF is built from the pages you kept, so the removed pages are not stored inside it. Someone who receives the new file cannot bring them back.
Two points deserve attention:
- Your original still has every page. Send the new file, not the old one. Give it a different name so you do not attach the wrong version.
- Deleting a page does not clean the pages you keep. If a remaining page shows an account number, an address or a name that should not be shared, use Redact PDF to black it out. Redacted pages are flattened so the hidden text is actually removed. Always apply the redaction and open the saved file to check it.
Only remove pages when you are entitled to. Taking pages out of a contract, a certificate or an official record to mislead someone is not an acceptable use.
Fix the related problems at the same time

Troubleshooting
The file asks for a password
Protected PDFs must be opened with their password. Enter the one you were given. A file whose password you do not know cannot be edited.
I removed the wrong page
Nothing is lost. Your original file is untouched. Add it to the tool again and make a fresh selection.
The page numbers now skip
Numbers printed on the pages do not update when pages are removed. If page 5 is gone, the document jumps from 4 to 6. For documents you created yourself, removing the pages in the source file and exporting again gives clean numbering.
The file is still too big
Removing text pages saves little. Removing scanned or photo pages saves a lot. If the size is still over the limit shown on the upload page, compress the file as a second step.
Thumbnails load slowly on my phone
